Self-Guided Group Visits & Guided Tours
All groups of ten or more are asked to register (please see below). The Harvard Semitic Museum is available for self-guided group visits and two different docent-led tours for groups of 10 people or more. Docent tours run 30-60 minutes and are available with advance registration.
Self-guided student groups from grades 4–12 are welcome in groups of 10–24 people. Groups of 25 and more will be asked to schedule visits on separate days to accommodate college classes in the same building.
College-level educators are invited to bring their classes from any university or program to the Harvard Semitic Museum.
Please register all group visits at least two weeks in advance by phone (617-495-3216) or by email (email@example.com) on Monday–Friday, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. The museum may not be able to allow entry without advance registration. Self-guided group tours are free of charge. Docent-led tours cost two dollars per person.
Virtual Field Trips
Virtual Field Trips for 10-50 middle school students per session must also be reserved at least two weeks in advance. The fee is $150 for up to 50 students.
Please complete the online Reservation Request Form to begin the reservations process. When the request has been reviewed, you will be contacted by the Education Department to complete the reservation.
Educators are invited to bring their classes to the Harvard Semitic Museum. Reservations for classes are required; please contact the reservation desk by phone (617-495-3216) or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) on Monday-Friday, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Educators are invited to visit the museum anytime during open hours to develop assignments for their students’ visits.
